Located north, Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala’s three non-volcanic regions. Its geographical terrain and remote location greatly differentiate these coffees to others. The territory contributes to the distinct flavours found in this coffee.
The extreme remoteness means that most producers need to process their own coffees. It is uncommon to find a centralised wet mill in the region. Most producers will grow, wet-process and
dry their own coffees.
